> ## Agent Instructions
> Ready for Commerce is an ecosystem that currently contains two products, PIM and Repricer, standing on one shared foundation: one identity, one organization, one team, one bill. Do not call it a platform with features, and never hint at an unreleased product.
> PIM connects to Shopify, Amazon, Square, Google Merchant Center and BigCommerce. Repricer connects to Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, BigCommerce, eBay and Square. The two products do not share one list, and each integration is authorized separately inside each product. The roster grows on purpose, so describe what the product does and let a table carry which integrations do it today, instead of counting them or writing that only one does something.
> Integration is the word this product uses, and it is the default in the documentation: the connection, the account, the Integrations screen, the per-account settings and the sync state are all integrations. Channel is reserved for the narrow sense of a destination where a listing lives, as in a product being live on a channel or archived on the channel.
> Newegg is not a supported channel. Do not describe it.
> On Amazon, PIM manages the offer only: price, availability and condition. It does not publish listing content such as titles, descriptions, images or specifications.
> Sign-in is passwordless: a single-use code emailed to the user, or Google. There are no passwords anywhere, so never describe a password, a sign-up with a password, or an email confirmation link.
> There is no public API for customers and no customer-facing webhooks. There is no organization-wide activity feed and no audit export, but the PIM does keep version history on products, brands, categories, tags and specifications, with who changed what and a restore, so never write that changes are not recorded or that an edit cannot be undone. Do not describe capabilities that are not documented here.
> Never write that the products have no AI, and never write that anything is AI-powered. Both are wrong. The PIM's image Optimizer runs AI-backed transforms the seller starts on purpose: Upscale, Remove background, and the region selection behind Refine. The Repricer reads competitor prices off web pages on the server. No control, badge or tooltip in either product names AI, and the seller never writes a prompt, so describe what the buttons do in the app's own words instead of reaching for the word.
> A PIM product, brand, category or variant can be switched off per connected integration account. Hover the channel badge and the switch is beside the account name in the card that opens. It carries no visible caption, so never call it the Sync switch: Sync is only its accessible name. On a variant-grained provider, Amazon today, the switch moves into the variant editor. On a product it asks whether to delete it from the channel, archive it there, or leave it live. Disabling stops publishing, not reading. There is still no per-field sync toggle.
> The PIM's image Optimizer replaced a feature called Squarify, which no longer exists. It resizes to an aspect ratio or to exact dimensions, removes backgrounds, upscales, trims the transparent margin around a cutout and re-centers it, pads, fills and re-encodes, and it always publishes a new asset instead of changing the original. Nothing crops into the picture: the subject is always contained whole.
> The PIM has no repricing engine and never reacts to a competitor's price. It does build the price it publishes to each integration account from the seller's own fields, configured in that account's settings, so do not write that the PIM has no pricing rules.
> Neither product has an in-app notification center, bell or inbox. Notifications are delivered by email only.
> Billing is per organization and per product, and only the organization owner can see or change it. Team members are free and uncounted, so never describe seats or per-user pricing.
> The seller never picks a plan. Each product has twelve price tiers assigned automatically from usage: the PIM from catalog product count, which includes drafts and archived products, and the Repricer from trailing 30-day sales. Nothing is feature-gated by plan and exceeding a tier never blocks work, so never write that a feature requires a higher plan.
> A subscription that is past due or paused makes the product read-only, which stops repricing and blocks edits without deleting data. Only a canceled subscription locks the seller out. Nothing is ever charged without a payment method on file.
> Pages containing the text 'This page has not been written yet', or its Spanish equivalent 'Esta página todavía no está escrita', are placeholders. Do not treat their headings as documented behavior.

# Accounts and regions

> You connect a seller account, the integration finds the regions that account sells in, and each region has its own listings and its own currency.

An account is one seller account you authorized, and a region is one place that account sells. One Amazon seller account is an account, and each Amazon marketplace it sells in is a region under it. On Shopify a region is one of your markets, and on BigCommerce it is one of your storefronts.

The region is the level that does the work, because it is what actually syncs. Every listing the Repricer prices comes in through a region, and it is priced in that region's own currency. So one Amazon account selling in the United States and in Mexico gives you two sets of listings. One is in dollars and one is in pesos, and they are counted apart everywhere in the app.

You come to this screen to see what you have connected and to change it. This is where you stop repricing a region or a whole account, rename an account, reconnect one that lost its authorization, or remove one for good. Click `Integrations` in the left sidebar and you get a grid of square cards, one per integration. Everything on this page happens inside the dialog that opens over the page when you click a card.

## Before you start

### What your role lets you do

| Role | What you can do here |
| --- | --- |
| Admin | Everything on this screen |
| Manager | Nothing. You never see the screen |
| Editor | Nothing. You never see the screen |
| Analyst | Nothing. You never see the screen |

`Integrations` is not in your sidebar at all below Admin, and typing its address sends you back to `Home`. So a teammate who cannot find `Integrations` is one role short, and that is the answer rather than a missing page. Roles are set in [team, roles and permissions](/team#what-each-repricer-role-can-do).

### Deleting an account cannot be undone

<Danger>
  Deleting an account removes its listings, their pricing history, its market data, the competitor addresses you typed in, and the strategies built for its regions. Nothing brings any of it back.
</Danger>

## How to open an account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Integrations page">
    Click `Integrations` in the left sidebar. You get a grid of square cards, one per integration, grouped into sections such as `Online Stores` and `Marketplaces`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click the card you want">
    A card you have connected opens a dialog with three numbers in it, labeled `Accounts`, `Listings` and `Synced`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Manage accounts">
    `Manage accounts` is the one line under those three numbers. It opens the list of accounts you have on that integration.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click the account you want">
    Each row in that list is one account, with its name and a line under it counting what is inside. Clicking anywhere on the row opens the account itself.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read its regions">
    The account dialog lists regions in two groups, `Active regions` for the ones that are on and `Available regions`, dimmed, for the ones that are off. Each row has a switch on the right.
  </Step>
</Steps>

That is the whole path, and it is the same every time. The switch on a region row is what starts and stops repricing on it. `Back` in the bottom left of the dialog takes you up one level at a time.

Everything below explains that dialog one part at a time. You do not need any of it to find an account or flip a switch.

## Every option in detail

### The three levels you are working with

Everything on this screen is one of three things, and each one is a level under the one before it.

| Level | What one is | Where you see it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Integration | The company you sell through | A card on the `Integrations` grid |
| Account | One seller account you authorized there | A row in the accounts list |
| Region | One place that account sells | A row in the account dialog |

You can connect as many accounts on one integration as you have, and each keeps its own regions, its own listings and its own name. Every region is under exactly one account, and you never create one yourself.

### Reading the accounts list

The accounts list gives you one row per account. Reading a row from left to right, you get the account's name, a line counting what is inside it, and then either a switch or a badge on the right.

| What you see on a row | What it tells you |
| --- | --- |
| The name | Whatever the account is called here. It is yours to change |
| `2 regions · 431 listings · 8m ago` | How many regions are on, how many listings you have, and when one of them last synced |
| A switch | The account is healthy, and the switch is on while it is repricing |
| `Reconnect` | The authorization expired or was revoked |
| `Error` | Something happened that reconnecting will not fix |
| `Redirecting…` | You clicked `Reconnect` and your browser is on its way to the integration |

An account showing a badge instead of a switch cannot be paused or resumed, because nothing on it is running. When you have no accounts at all the list reads `No accounts connected yet.`, and the button at the bottom reads `Connect account` instead of `Add another account`.

### Turning an account on or off

The switch on the right of a row in the accounts list moves that account between repricing and paused. Turning it off stops the reading and the writing for every region under it. Nothing is deleted, no setting is lost, and turning the switch back on starts the account again.

A second switch does the same thing to every account on the integration at once. It is in the header of the dialog you get from the card, on the right of the integration's name. It only moves accounts that are already healthy, so one that needs reconnecting or that failed is left where it is.

**Your listings tell you when this is what stopped them.** Every listing on a paused account reads `Not working`, and the reason on it is `Channel region disabled`. [Listing statuses](/repricer/listings/statuses) has the rest of that list.

### Turning a region on or off

The switch on the right of a region row decides whether the Repricer reads and prices that region at all. The regions that are on are listed under `Active regions` at the top of the account dialog, and the ones that are off are under `Available regions` beneath it, dimmed. Flipping a switch moves the row between the two groups.

Turn a region off and three things stop for it: no listings come in, no competitor prices are read, and nothing is repriced. Your listings stay where they are, and so do their prices.

Turn a region on and the Repricer starts reading it within 10 minutes. The first time any region is switched on it also gets a strategy of its own, marked as the default. That way a listing never comes in with nothing to price it. [Strategies](/repricer/strategies) covers what that strategy does and how to replace it.

Both switches are dead while an account needs reconnecting or has failed. Fix the connection first and the region rows come back.

**Turn a region off instead of pausing the account** when you sell in more than one country and want to keep pricing one of them. Pause the account when you want everything on that seller account to stop at once.

### Where your regions come from

You never pick a region. Each integration works out where you sell and creates the rows for you on the day you connect.

| Integration | One region is | What you get on the day you connect |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Amazon | One marketplace | Every marketplace on the seller account. The ones you are enrolled to sell in are switched on, and the rest are switched off |
| Walmart | One country's Walmart site | Only the ones your credentials can reach, all on |
| Shopify | One of your Shopify markets | Your primary market plus every other active market, all on |
| BigCommerce | One storefront | Every storefront in your store, all on |
| eBay | The marketplace your account is registered on | Exactly 1, and it never gets a second |
| Square | The merchant itself | Exactly 1 |

Every row has a country flag and the region's name on it. A row that is off shows its web address underneath as well, which is how you tell `amazon.com` from `amazon.ca` before you switch either one on.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why a Walmart region you switched off comes back on by itself">
    A Walmart connection uses one set of credentials for every country, and Walmart answers a call about a country you are not registered in by rejecting it. So the Repricer cannot tell a country you left from one you were never in. It asks again every 12 hours, and any country it can reach is created or switched back on.

    That means a Walmart region you switched off yourself is switched back on within 12 hours. To stop pricing one Walmart country and keep the others, pause repricing on those listings with [bulk actions](/repricer/bulk-actions) instead.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens when you start selling somewhere new">
    On Walmart the new country turns up on its own, within 12 hours, already switched on.

    Everywhere else the new region comes in with the next read of the account, which is never more than 10 minutes away. A Shopify market you add, a BigCommerce storefront you create, an Amazon marketplace you enroll in: each one becomes a row here without you doing anything. An Amazon marketplace you were never enrolled in was already a row under `Available regions`, so enrolling only changes what the Repricer can find there.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

### Renaming an account

`Rename` is in the top right of the account dialog, beside the account's name. Click it and the name turns into a box you can type in, up to 100 characters, with `Save` and `Cancel` next to it. Enter saves and Escape cancels.

The name is yours alone. It is never sent to the integration, and it changes nothing about what syncs or what gets priced.

An account you never rename keeps the name it was given when you connected it, and that name comes from the integration. Shopify and BigCommerce give you your store's own name, Square your business name, and eBay your user name. Amazon and Walmart give you the last 4 characters of the seller ID in parentheses.

### Reconnecting an account

`Reconnect` is in the bottom right of the account dialog, and it is only there when the authorization expired or was revoked. That is the recoverable case, and the account dialog says so at the top under `Reconnection required`, with a line naming what happened.

An account that failed permanently gets no `Reconnect` at all. It shows `Account deactivated` instead, and the way forward is to delete it and connect a new one.

What clicking `Reconnect` does depends on the integration.

| Integration | What happens when you click it |
| --- | --- |
| Amazon, Square | You go straight to their own site to approve access again. The row reads `Redirecting…` while you go |
| eBay | You get one line telling you where you are about to be sent, and a second `Reconnect` to press |
| Shopify, Walmart, BigCommerce | No hand-off. You paste fresh credentials into the same fields the connect form asked for |

It has to be the same account. Authorizing a different store or a different seller account is rejected, and the message says so.

**A reconnect does not turn your regions back on.** It restores the authorization and leaves everything else alone. Some connection failures switch every region off on the way down, so open `Available regions` once you are back and turn on the ones you want.

### Disconnecting an account

`Delete` is the red button in the bottom right of the account dialog. It opens a dialog that counts the listings and the regions it is about to remove. Before the button works it asks you for two things: the account's name typed exactly, and the word `DELETE` in a second box.

**Disconnecting a Shopify store does not remove your app from it.** The app is yours, so it stays installed. Uninstalling it in your Shopify Admin disconnects the store too, and Repricer is told and removes the account for you.

Deleting the last account on an integration puts you back on that integration's own dialog, which offers you `Connect Account` again the way it did before you had one.

### Limits

| What | Limit |
| --- | --- |
| Accounts on one integration | No limit |
| Characters in an account name | 100 |
| Regions on an eBay account | 1 |
| Regions on a Square account | 1 |
| How often a region that is on is read | Every 10 minutes |
| How often Walmart is asked about a new region | Every 12 hours |

### What you cannot do here

| You cannot | Do this instead |
| --- | --- |
| Pick which regions an account gets | Switch off the ones you do not want |
| Sync an account or a region on demand | Wait for the next read, which is never more than 10 minutes away |
| Keep a Walmart region switched off | Pause repricing on its listings with [bulk actions](/repricer/bulk-actions) |
| Rename a region | Nothing here. The name comes from the integration |
| Reconnect an account that failed permanently | Delete it and connect a new one |

## When something goes wrong

### What a broken connection does to your regions

A connection that stops leaves your regions in one of two states, and nothing on screen tells you which.

| The account shows | What happened to its regions |
| --- | --- |
| A switch you turned off yourself | Nothing. They are exactly as you left them |
| A switch that turned itself off | Every one of them was switched off with the account |
| `Reconnect` | Nothing. They are frozen where they were until the account is back |
| `Error` | Every one of them was switched off with the account |

So an account that stopped on its own reprices nothing after you switch it back on, until you open `Available regions` and turn on the ones you want. [Integrations](/repricer/integrations) has the full list of what stops a region syncing, your organization's billing included.

### The line at the top of the account

An account that needs your attention opens with a banner. `Reconnection required` is the recoverable one and `Account deactivated` is not, and the line under either one names what actually happened.

| The line reads | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| `We could not refresh the connection to your account. Reconnect to resume repricing.` | Click `Reconnect` |
| `The Shopify app was uninstalled from {shop}. Reconnect to resume repricing.` | Install your app on the store again, then click `Reconnect` |
| `The Shopify app was uninstalled from {shop}. Cleanup is still finishing; reconnect to resume repricing.` | Wait a moment, then reconnect |
| `Your eBay account was deleted. Reconnect to resume repricing.` | Reconnect with an eBay account that exists |
| `Your Walmart seller account was terminated by Walmart. Contact Walmart Seller Support, then reconnect.` | Get the account back with Walmart first |
| `Your {channel} seller account was terminated by {channel}. Contact {channel} Seller Support, then reconnect.` | Get the account back with the integration first |
| `Your {channel} store appears to have been deleted or cancelled. Reconnect with a valid store to resume repricing.` | Delete the account here and connect the store you do have |
| `Your {channel} store is currently unavailable. Check your {channel} admin panel and reconnect.` | Open your admin panel on that integration and see why |

You do not have to be looking at this screen to find out. Repricer emails your organization's owner and admins, and [Integrations](/repricer/integrations) lists what each of those emails is about.

### Messages you can get on this screen

| Message | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| `You don't have permission to connect accounts.` | Your Repricer role is below Admin. Ask someone to raise it |
| `This account can't be toggled in its current state. Resolve any issues first.` | The account needs reconnecting or has failed. Fix that first |
| `The {channel} account you authorized doesn't match the one you're reconnecting. Please authorize the correct account.` | Sign out of the integration and authorize the account you started with |
| `The {channel} authorization wasn't approved. Please try connecting again and approve access.` | Start the reconnect again and accept |
| `Label cannot be empty` | Type something into the name box before you click `Save` |
| `Failed to delete account` | Try again. Reload the page first if it happens twice |

<Accordion title="What the first sync tells you about a region that did not come in">
  The dialog that opens when you connect an account lists any region that did not sync, one line each, with the region's name and the reason.

  | The line reads | What it means |
  | --- | --- |
  | `this account is not enrolled in this marketplace, so it was skipped` | You do not sell there, so the region comes in switched off |
  | `this region was disabled before the sync started` | Somebody switched the region off while the sync was queued |
  | `the account credentials were unavailable` | The authorization did not finish. Connect the account again |
  | `the credentials were rejected. Reconnect the account to retry` | The integration would not accept the authorization |
  | `the seller account is reported as terminated` | The integration has closed that seller account |
  | `the store is unavailable` | The store is off, frozen or gone on the integration's own side |
  | `the sync took too long and was stopped` | Nothing came in from that region. Disconnect and connect again |
  | `the sync ran into an unexpected error` | Nothing came in from that region. Disconnect and connect again |

  `download the error report` under those lines gives you a CSV with one row per problem, naming the region and, where the trouble was one item, its SKU.
